This Privacy Policy describes how weROI ("weROI," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit weroi.net (including local or preview environments used for development), contact us, submit forms, join our insights list, or engage us for digital growth services.
Please read this Policy carefully. By using our website or contacting us, you understand the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or send us personal information.
1. Who we are (controller)
weROI is a digital growth agency based in Kingston, Jamaica. We serve clients in Jamaica and worldwide through remote delivery. For privacy purposes, weROI is the organization responsible for deciding how personal information collected through our website and client intake channels is processed.

2. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to personal information we collect online through weroi.net and related weROI-operated forms and messaging channels listed above. It does not cover third-party websites, apps, or platforms we link to (for example Google Maps, Calendly, Instagram, or WhatsApp), which have their own privacy practices.
Client project work may involve additional processing covered in a proposal, statement of work, or separate agreement. Where those documents conflict with this Policy for contracted services, the signed commercial terms control for that engagement.
3. Information we collect
We collect information in three broad ways: information you give us, information created when you use our site or message us, and limited technical data from hosting and browsers.
3.1 Information you provide
Depending on how you reach us, this may include:
- Contact forms and message intents: name or preferred contact method, email, phone, business details, website URL, project description, questions, and any message body you write.
- Work With Us lead form: business name, whether you have a website and its URL, need types (for example new website, rebuild, SEO, branding), what you do, timeline, budget range in USD, main goal, and optional name or follow-up contact.
- Insights / newsletter signup: the email address you enter. Signup is processed through our newsletter API and stored with Resend (our email service provider) so we can send growth insights. You can unsubscribe via links in those emails or by contacting us.
- WhatsApp, email, Instagram, and phone: any content you send, including voice notes, images, or documents you choose to share.
- Scheduling: if you book a call through our Calendly link, Calendly and related calendar tools may collect your name, email, and meeting details under their policies.
- Client delivery: credentials, brand assets, analytics access, copy, and business information needed to perform contracted work, collected only as required for the project.
3.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit weroi.net, our hosting and network providers may automatically record technical data such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring URL, timestamps, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the site. We do not currently operate a separate first-party analytics product that builds marketing profiles of individual visitors on weroi.net. If we add analytics tools later, we will update this Policy and describe what is collected.
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies
Our site may use cookies or local storage that are necessary for basic function (for example remembering a mobile navigation preference in your browser session). We do not use advertising pixels or sell cookie-based profiles. Third-party embeds you interact with (maps, scheduling, social networks) may set their own cookies subject to those providers' policies. See Section 11 for more detail.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and route leads to the right person on our team.
- Prepare proposals, estimates, and statements of work.
- Deliver website, SEO, marketing, branding, and software services you request.
- Schedule calls and follow up on projects, billing, and support.
- Send insights or updates when you ask to join our list, or when you are an active client and the message relates to your work.
- Improve site reliability, fix bugs, and protect against abuse or security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service where applicable.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent email lists.
5. Legal bases and practical grounds
weROI is based in Jamaica and serves local and international clients. We are not claiming attorney-certified GDPR compliance for every jurisdiction. In plain terms, we process personal information when:
- You ask us to: you submit a form, message us, or request a proposal or service.
- We need it to perform a contract: delivering paid work, invoicing, and related support.
- We have a legitimate interest: responding to business inquiries, securing our systems, and improving the site, balanced against your privacy expectations.
- Consent: for optional marketing emails or similar outreach where consent is the appropriate basis. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by emailing us.
- Legal requirements: when the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
If you are in a region with additional privacy rights (for example the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or certain U.S. states), contact us and we will work with you in good faith to honor applicable rights to the extent they apply to our processing.
6. Sharing and processors
We share personal information only as needed to run the business and deliver services. Categories of recipients may include:
- Hosting and infrastructure: providers that host weroi.net and related assets (for example cloud hosting and content delivery used to serve the site).
- Email and messaging: Google (Gmail / Google Workspace style email), Resend (newsletter contacts and insight emails), WhatsApp (Meta), and Instagram (Meta) when you choose those channels or sign up for insights.
- Scheduling: Calendly when you book a meeting through our link.
- Maps and search: Google Maps or Maps search embeds and links on contact pages.
- Payment and accounting tools: if used for a specific engagement, only as needed to invoice and record payment (details confirmed in commercial paperwork).
- Professional advisors: accountants or legal counsel bound by confidentiality, if needed.
- Authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell leads to other agencies. Subcontractors engaged for a client project (for example a specialist designer or developer) receive only what they need to perform their role, under confidentiality expectations appropriate to the work.
7. International transfers
We operate from Jamaica and work with clients and tools that may be located in other countries. Personal information you send us may be stored or processed in Jamaica, the United States, the European Union, or other regions where our service providers maintain infrastructure. By contacting us or using the site, you understand that your information may be transferred across borders. We take reasonable steps to work with reputable providers and to limit access to people who need it.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including:
- Inquiry and lead messages: typically while we are actively corresponding, then for a limited period in email or chat history unless you ask us to delete them sooner (subject to legal holds).
- Client project files: for the life of the engagement and a reasonable period afterward for warranty, billing, and reference, unless a contract sets a different period.
- Insights list emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Security and server logs: for shorter operational windows unless needed to investigate an incident.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where practical.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a small digital agency, including access controls on accounts, HTTPS on the public site where supported by hosting, and careful handling of client credentials. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please use strong, unique passwords for any shared tools, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access related to a weROI engagement.
10. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you.
- Access a copy of information you provided.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete information we no longer need to keep (or that you are entitled to have deleted under applicable law).
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing emails.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, email contact.weroi@gmail.comwith the subject line "Privacy request" and enough detail for us to verify and locate your records. We may need to confirm your identity before acting. Some requests may be limited where we must retain records for legal, security, or contractual reasons.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Local storage and similar technologies can store preferences in the browser. For a fuller explanation, see our Cookie Policy.
- Essential / functional: may be used so the site works as expected (for example remembering that you hid the mobile bottom navigation for a session).
- Analytics: we do not currently run a dedicated visitor analytics suite that tracks individuals across pages for advertising. If that changes, we will update this section.
- Third-party: when you open WhatsApp, Instagram, Calendly, Google Maps, or similar services, those companies may set cookies under their own policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site features.
12. Children's privacy
Our website and services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact contact.weroi@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
13. Third-party links and embeds
weroi.net may link to portfolio work, client sites, social profiles, maps, and scheduling tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before sharing information with them.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the revised Policy on weroi.net. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site or communicated to active clients when appropriate. Continued use of the site after an update means you understand the revised Policy.
